A Legacy of Craftsmanship and Resilience
Fathom what it's like to be an entrepreneur. And you're probably considering starting your own venture.
This is my father's tale. Dad stopped going to school when he was sixteen and started doing crafts instead. He began by making dining tables and chairs. My granddad worked in the automobile trade. Even if it was profitable at the time, Dad desired a different path. Thus, he took a risk and started taking on jobs including leather upholstery, metal bending, and restoration. He even dabbled in woodworking. There weren't many machines back then. It was all blood and sweat.
Yup you heard that. Being a 3rd generation entrepreneur, our challenges are different. It incorporates the use of creativity and intelligence in contrast to the past, which placed a strong emphasis on survival, discipline, and perseverance.
Trials and Triumphs
Dad almost filed for bankruptcy three times. The first was when he helped provide and install the Ferry seats as part of a cruise ferry project. After that, his buyer filed for bankruptcy, leaving him saddled with enormous debt. He managed to crawl out of it. SARs and the Asian Financial Crisis followed. Companies suffered a great deal back then. We all downsized as a family, he paid off his bills, and we emerged from the pit once more.
A Niche Forged in Time
Dad's firm continues to be specialized in his field of work to this day. The only reasons his company, Wah Sheng Motor Supply Co (Pte) Ltd has survived the years are his creativity, perseverance, and self-control. We reburnish and revitalize the public transportation industry Today. And it all began with his hands.
Inspiration and Community These are the untold stories of prosperous business owners. We can only grow as a group if we go back in time and establish a human connection with the individual who is behind each success story. Only then will we be able to take inspiration from them, learn from their experiences, and build a community of support.
That's why I as a third-generation entrepreneur, chosen to start my second venture, RewindConnect.com the business community under Lifestoriesco, officially introduced to you. Where I create a business community and share the experiences of heroes behind every small business success so that owners and would-be entrepreneurs can unite and prosper as one.
